I am a bit short on time, so this is going to be short and sweet. Last year I posted a blog titled “No Excuses.” In it I included my favorite commercial, one by Nike. Here it is again (even if you’ve seen it, its worth watching again):
Now I have another one. This isn’t a commercial that you will see on TV, it’s not backed by an immense advertising budget. Instead, it’s a short promotional video for Impact Performance Training in Beaverton, Oregon. The owner, Dewey Nielson is well respected within the strength and conditioning community and I ran across his video via mutual friends on Facebook (I get so much good stuff via Facebook). I guess it is somehow fitting that this newest motivational video is produced by a facility based in the same town as Nike’s HQ. And while IPT is on a much smaller scale than a company like Nike, I love this video. It spotlights a client training at IPT that had a spinal stroke in the 8th grade and is in a wheelchair. Need some motivation? Go to Impact Performance Training and watch the short video clip here.
If you’re looking for a bit more inspiration, read about Erin’s journey to becoming a “girl gone strong.” She’s someone probably most of us can relate to. A worthy read. “Journey of a Girl Gone Strong: My Story.”
So who’s going to the gym? 🙂 Get some exercise, eat healthy, smile at someone, count your blessings and have a great day! I’ll be back Thursday with something a bit more substantial.
